TONIGHT! BIF BANG POW DOCTOR WHO RETROSPECTIVE!

Live at 8:30 PM this Evening. We're  launching a new series today "The History of ReMego" speaking about toy lines that tried to rekindle the 8 inch format created by Mego. For our first installment, we've got the president of Bif Bang Pow! Jason Lenzi to talk about their range of Doctor Who action figures. 

 We talk about the inspiration for the line, it's origins, what was released and of course all the things that didn't get made due to its sadly short tenure.

Thinkgeek K-9

The Mego Museum did a spotlight on the Thinkgeek Bifbangpow exclusive K-9 figure today. It's the same figure that will come with the Tardis playset but ala cart with a shiny new box.

Bifbangpow The Master Photo Review

When the Bifbangpow! Who line was first announced, the one character that fans didn't seem enthusiastic about was the Master. Not that he isn't a great villain, it's probably because more folks prefer it to be the likeness of either actors Roger Delgado or Anthony Ainley.

To defend the character choice, the Peter Pratt version of the Master is the "Mego era" rendition of the character and the one that the Tom Baker Doctor faced the most. 

Fans also worried when the original prototype was shown, however I'm happy to report that  BifBangPow  really poured on the quality here and it's a crazy nice piece.  More photos after the jump:

Skaroth and Sutekh for Wave Two

Just some shots via Megomuseum from the floor of SDCC as we can see two of the more memorable foes from "Pyramids of Mars" and "City of Death" look phenomenal in Mego format.
